THE END OF PREP CLASS

First of all,I am happy with my new friends and teachers in Denizli.Before l came Pamukkale University,my English wasn't good enough for me because of the education in Saudi Arabia.Now,thanks to my English teachers,I learned new things and my English improved to some extent.It will be better next terms.Especially,I wanted to thank my Gulsen Teacher for her help when she understood my faults about English.She gave me some advice.If I am not here for next year,I will miss everything about Denizli.I also want to thank my friend who is in my dormitory.She is SONAY.She helped me whenever l wanted.She both corrected my errors and taught some important points.Finally,good luck for final exams...

LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Language ,is a common way that helps someone to Express oneself in best way.As we know,language has an important role in our lives ,especially in child ages.Language has such a different structure that the best way for learning a foreign language is when we are child .Although many people think that learning a foreign language in young ages affects children negetively we think that these ages for learning a foreign language are the most effective periods.
Opponents ,who think that learning a foreign language in young ages is harmful for children argue that our children should learn firstly mother-tongue.They put forward this idea ,because they think that learning a foreign language can be a handicap to learn their own language .To some extent they may be right.However ,if we don’t give our children foreign language skills ,it will be too late to learn a foreign language in the future .In addition,the language that is learn in young ages will be permanent .Thus ,we should let our children learn a foreign language in young ages.
Some people who are against learning a foreign language in young ages also maintain that if their children learn foreign languages this can affect their performance that is in the other lessons in a bad way .Because ,they are already in trouble with the other lessons .They think so because ,it is logical that they should take primarily their main courses.To a certain extent ,they are right.On the other hand,it will be a preparation that they learn a foreign language beside their main courses.Moreover ,facing with a different language adds some excitements to their lives .Hence ,it is rational that children should learn a foreign language in young ages.
Opponents ,who are against learning a foreign language in young ages still assert that children shouldn’t learn foreign language in young ages .They think that languages are unneccessary things so their children learn numerical lessons such as maths and science instead of languages .On the contrary ,they are wrong languages take places in globalization ,so they don’t have trouble with their daily lives and it will contribute to their future jobs if they learn a foreign language in young ages.Furthermore ,it will be easier that putting extra things over the thing that is already laid foundation in young ages.Thus,it is important to learn a foreign language in young ages.
To sum up ,children should learn a foreign language in young ages,because it has many benefical aspects.One of them is that it will be late to learn a foreign language in young ages for children .The other is that it will be a preparation for future ages .Finally it will contribute to children’s future jobs,so the language learnt it young ages is permanent during the whole life.

TWO INTERESTING STORIES

This week Gulsen teacher gave us two stories.We checked them and we had a quiz about these stories.Both of the stories were very interesting for me.In the story of LOTTERY,I understood thet some harsh tradition can effect peoples lives such as peoples death.The other story was THE OPEN WINDOW.In this story ,a doctor gave advice a man to go to a place where peole were friendly.The man went to this place but he came across interesting and fringtining things.I learned new vocabulary and new culture.

WHAT DID WE DO IN THIS WEEK?

In this week,we covered the adolescence unit in reading lesson.We continued our grammer presantations which were pronouns,adverbs and noun on Tuesday.We had an exam on Wednesday.It was difficult for me to put the words in correct order.It was the second and the last mid-term exam so l was happy but we will have final exams l hope everybody will have good grades.GOOD LUCK...

-LIFE IN TWO COUNTRIES-

In my life ,I lived in Saudi Arabia for eleven years because of my father’s work.He has worked there as a barber since he was young.Living in Saudi Arabia ,I have an opportunity to know about a new country.When I came back Turkey,I couldn’t help comparing and contrasting Saudi Arabia and my own country ,Turkey.
There are some reasons why these two countries are similar to each other.First of all,like Turkey ,Saudi Arabia has lots of seasides.Secondly,both countries are striking and beatiful.For example,there are huge buildings which have colourful lights,big shopping centers so each has tourists from everywhere.Furthermore ,the capital of these two countries have skyscrapers in which you can see the whole city.
Despite ,their similarities ,these two countries are different.Firstly, As Turkey is governed by democracy ,Saudi Arabia is governed by kingdom.Secondly ,In Saudi Arabia people start to work at night so shops open at 18:00 o’clock because Saudi Arabia has a very hot weather in the morning or in the afternoon so people can’t work at that times.In Turkey ,people open their shops in the morning.Thirdly , Arabic people’s skin are darker than Turkish people’s skin.It is again because of the hot weather.In addition, Saudi Arabia has oil resources so Arabics are rich people but in Turkey people’s economic situation is changeable.Next reason,Arabic people’s religion is so harsh that women can’t go out without headscarves.There is a really good example of their hard religious.When l went there for the first time,I went shopping with my mother and my sister.Suddenly a man who was responsible for the religion came to near us.He asked us why our hair was open and took us to the prison.Fortunately,my father came and solved the problem.After that we didn’t go outside again without our headscarves.In Turkey,we can see lots of women who are free enough to go out without headscarves.
In conclusion, I love both of countries.Saudi Arabia is very different for me because life conditions are different such as going out with headscarves,having hard punishments,starting life at night but I used to live there.I advise everybody to go Saudi Arabia.

MY HOLIDAY IN BALIKESIR

After exams, l went near my friend who was in university in Balikesir.The first day, l and my friend walked around the city. l did some shopping in narrow streets.The second day, we had breakfast and we started to our journey to Ayvalik.It took one hour to go there.We found a pension to stay.As soon as we put our bags to our room,we went to walk around.We learned that there were lots of islands in Ayvalik.One of them was Alibey.I went to Alibey with my friend.l like the island.When l was there,l felt peaceful.There were some sellers who sold some jewelries,olive oil,olive,tandoor bread.Ayvalik is famous for its olive.l saw lots of olive trees.Next,we came back Balikesir.Our journey finished.I advise everybody to go there.
